HOW TO USE
Grouting pinholes (up to 3mm) & hairline cracks:
Mix well before use.
It is recommended to grout min 4. hours after your first saturation densification.
You can use 80 to 150 grit metal pads to grout if you are aiming for a cream finish.
Spray Forti-Grout™ generously for only 1.5m in front of the grinder (it dries fast).
For better colour matching lightly sprinkle some cement powder over it and broom in quickly.
Don’t delay – grind over it while it is still damp – it dries quickly. If grout is sticking to diamond pads, increase rotational speed.
For edges apply grout with a paint brush 1 metre in front of the hand grinder. Use a variable speed grinder with a 100 grit soft bond cup disc.
Patching wider cracks and larger holes (more than 3mm):
Mix Forti-Grout™ with ready mix cement mortar, which matches the colour of the slab.
Use the same quantity of Forti-Grout™ as recommended quantity of water. For e.g. if cement requires 100mL of water, use 100mL of Forti-Grout™.
Use a suitable spatula to slightly over fill holes and cracks, as it will shrink and also so you can grind it down to slab level so it is flat and seamless.
Give filled areas at least two hours to partially harden before grinding. Heater can be used to speed curing.
Sandy areas around large aggregate:
When very porous large aggregate is used in concrete, water & cement can penetrate into the stones leaving a sandy, rough area around each stone.
Use Forti-Grout™ to fill these areas, NOT densifier, because with little calcium hydroxide in sandy areas, the densifier remains highly water soluble and will wash out over time when floor is cleaned.
Lightly sprinkle some ready mix cement powder / mortar over it and broom in quickly.
